My 93-year-old aunt has now been a client of The Leading Care Company for three months since recovering from a fall and two months in the hospital. I am her next of kin and in daily contact with her. She has gone from strength to strength since being at home and this has been massively helped by all at The Leading Care Company. The various carers have been kind and supportive, helping her to adapt to her limited mobility. They have helped in the transition to living with support with her personal care and assisting with meals and keeping her spirits up. She is treated with respect by all. We cannot fault the support from office staff and management in making sure that every day is a happy and safe one.
The girls are polite and sociable. The office is very helpful, and if I need to ask to change something, they will do this if they can. We have had trouble getting some mediation and the staff have seen if they can get it. The carers are kind and make my mother laugh. Nothing has been too much trouble.
The carers are very friendly and Dad is always pleased to see them. They are able to encourage him to shower and change his clothes, which he will not do for me! I also find the carers very supportive of me, we have a good chat which helps me to feel less isolated.
My support worker during this month and over weeks whilst having my hip replaced was amazing. She helped me prepare my bedroom by sorting out furniture and clothes so I could access items easily. It was a very challenging time and emotionally I felt really anxious but it became less so while I had her. She is so lovely, kind and caring. It’s like having a best friend. I love her company and since she has been with me, my confidence has grown so much.
The care provided this month has been very good. Dad’s needs are all met by all the carers involved – he is looked after kindly, with respect and dignity and his needs are anticipated so things run smoothly. The agency reacts well and promptly when we have needed new carers.
My husband’s care is not easy. He is mentally and physically disabled and has to be hoisted and have everything done for him. The Leading Care Company came in and immediately knew what to do and taught the other, less able how to deal with my husband. They are all very capable, sympathetic and helpful which means my husband has received excellent care. They also know how to deal with his aggression.
Our regular carer has made my life so much easier. She understands my husband and his needs and as such has built a good relationship. He will now do things such as wear his hearing aids, drink plenty of water, work to complete a crossword, and help wash himself, rather like a young person doing what their teachers ask whereas they might be more reluctant if asked by a parent. We work well as a team when caring for my husband and she has been excellent in caring for and supporting both my husband and me.
The Leading Care Company has years of experience providing support for those who wish to remain at home and require that extra support to continue living their lives how they wish. All of our staff are fully trained and we are committed to providing the highest standards and services possible for all of our clients.
